Tata Sky Plus

So what happens when Amir Khan is on board for your movie or ad campaign…well chances are it is near to perfection and a sure hit with the junta (as the man contradicts himself when he said “perfection ko improve karna mushkil hai”). The Tata Sky ad’s right from their launch ad to the subsequent ones highlighting the features struck the right cord with the audience.

The ad campaign focusing on various features of the Tata Sky plus, giving each advertisement a different concept and also our Ace Khan donning a different look has just about everything coming right seamlessly for the ad.

It all kicked off by generating curiosity when Amir played half man half woman perfectly and then going on he played that perfect husband (washing clothes, waking up his wife with a nice breakfast, or having that witty chat with his friend about how to keep your wife happy…simply amazing) with the gorgeous and beautiful Gul Panag in the witty and cute advertisements, each highlighting more features offered by Tata Sky. The message in each ad was clear, and it came with a generous dose of humor and wit to it, hence the audience took to it completely and never complained when the ad started playing in between their favorite TV shows.

The second phase of ad campaign had Khan going solo for most of the ads, and we saw him in full form… be it amazing age transformation to an old hot headed and loveable Sikh man or the person who’s watching late night match or talking about the kids watching cartoons during exam period…Khan connected to his audience and got the people waiting for more different ad’s.

Now not since the Coke ad (remember how that “Paanch” ad became a rage) has any ad worked with Amir as Tata Sky, great concept and great acting by Amir (remember he plays the character rather than character playing him) has made this ad campaign a memorable one.

“Isko laga daala to life Jhingalala” I would just want the makers to explain the meaning of this line or even better if they can make a new ad with Amir explaining it in his own style.
